AI Corp: Front Desk Challenge is an interactive educational prototype developed as part of my master’s project. Designed to make AI concepts accessible and engaging for college students, the game uses an analogy of an AI company, where departments represent AI functions like text generation and image creation. Players assume the role of new employees tasked with routing user requests to the correct AI department, simulating how AI systems operate to solve real-world problems.
The project incorporates research-based insights gathered from semi-structured interviews with university students to enhance gameplay design. Participants highlighted the importance of dynamic challenges, varied tasks, and real-time feedback. As a result, I integrated GPT-4-powered NPCs to create diverse and realistic user requests, along with a feedback system to reinforce learning.
Currently, the prototype includes an entry-level game, the Front Desk Challenge, which focuses on classifying requests into appropriate AI workflows. Future developments aim to expand gameplay to advanced AI tasks, introduce narrative-driven elements, and enhance the overall immersive experience.
